Advanced Monuments’ story begins with┬áthe passing of my father, John Albert Charlebois, on January 2, 1974, at the age of 42.

At the time of his death, our family didn’t have the means to purchase a monument to honour my father. My older sister constructed a wooden cross to memorialize my Dad.

Years go by and my husband and I would visit the cemetery and were increasingly saddened by the wear on the cross due to the weather elements. In 2011, it was obvious that replacement was necessary.

After considering the cost of a granite headstone, my husband knew there had to be a more affordable, long lasting and better option.
